If we select your proposal, your speaker benefits include visibility, recognition as a thought leader and complimentary conference registration so you can attend sessions and network with peers. In addition, if you're a practitioner, an academic or a nonprofit organization representative, we'll pay for up to a two-night stay at a host hotel.

Q: What makes a session proposal successful?

Successful submissions are based upon a relevant topic, concept or idea, not on promoting products, services or proprietary information.

Please note: We sometimes approach consultants, academics and other subject-matter experts with a topic and work together to develop a custom session.

Q: Are tech/demo sessions and sponsored sessions part of the CFP process?

No. Tech/demo sessions (Total Rewards Conference) and sponsored sessions (Total Rewards Conference and Spotlight on Sales Compensation) are not part of the CFP process. They're sponsored sessions that allow you to promote your products and services to attendees. For more information about these sessions, including costs, contact the Visibility team.

Q: Why are there word and character limits for my session proposal?

The character and word limits for some components of your proposal submission, such as the session title and description, ensure we can quickly and easily see the most important information about your session. If we select your session for a conference, the limits ensure attendees can quickly and easily decide whether to attend your session. Here's an example of a recent session description that appeared on the WorldatWork 2017 Total Rewards Conference & Exhibition website:

Human-Capital Risk and the Future of Total Rewards: Are You Ready for What's Next?

Talent availability, employment relationships, corporate cultures and total rewards strategies are changing quickly. Globalization of workforces affects hiring and retaining qualified workers. Companies are becoming employment platforms and virtual workplaces. Corporate cultures are shifting to a focus on the short term and instantaneous. Risk-related scandals have become commonplace and frequently are related to human-capital and rewards factors. This session will help you: identify and address human-capital risk at your organization; develop a human-capital risk strategy that incorporates total rewards; and use total rewards to drive positive outcomes in terms of human-capital risk.
